years page layout
[edit]I have made some year layout proposals which would affect a significant proportion of the year pages: an example of proposed style is 1850. It is detailed on my talk page. However pre 1800 the change is largely cosmetic.
If no-one flags where I have put the discussion on my talk page that they object in a month I will start making everything consistent. It may take some time... --(talk)BozMo 16:34, 11 May 2004 (UTC)
Why are these entries here?
[edit]- June 2 - Wapping, a male negro slave owned by a Mr. Heale, was hanged for murder in the colony of Virginia.
- August 15 - William Battin, age 17, a white man, was hanged on that day for arson and murder in the colony of Pennsylvania.
Do these events have any particular significance? Why are they worth mentioning? —Dodiad 01:10, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
