(above comment unsigned) It would be nice to have some pictures of ex libris! 69.209.197.89 08:52, 10 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

company?

[edit]

I see at the bottom of many pages of online library systems (e.g. http://ajax.lva.lib.va.us/F/?func=file&file_name=find-b&local_base=CLAS01) the notice "Copyright Ex Libris [year]". I'm curious as to what this might mean. Perhaps it deserves its own article? GreetingsEarthling 20:09, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ex Libris Ad Campaign?

[edit]

In the 1990s, wasn't there an ad campaign in the US for a book search company? I think it was a precursor or parallel to Amazon.com. The ads were innovative and merit mention, but 1) I'm not sure if the name was in fact Ex Libris and 2) on the ads themselves I lack information beyond vague memories.
