Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and vote pages using three tildes, like this: ~~~. Four tildes (~~~~) produces your name and the current date. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my Talk page. Again, welcome! By the way. Thanks for your work on Eyepiece lens. And please try to improve telescope as well (since you seem knowledgeable about the subject). Usually, the articles about the bigger subject are more important and should include some information about the smaller related subjects. Removing the merge notice is good and well, but be sure to explain something about eye piece lenses in the telescope article. Happy editing! About the welcome

[edit]

You'd probably be surprised to know that there's actually a Wikipedia:Welcoming committee in existence going rould welcoming new members (we do use premade messages though). As for eyepiece lens and telescope. Feel free to do it in any order you like. The whole experience should be fun and if you want to start with less daunting tasks first that's perfectly okay. Feel free to contact me with questions :) [[User:MacGyverMagic|Mgm|(talk)]] 09:02, Dec 17, 2004 (UTC)

See my talk page User talk:Gene Nygaard for reply about fractions like ¼, then you can delete this message if you like. I don't think I'll bother doing this with the more experienced Wikipedians, but when I do it this way you get a "You have new messages". Gene Nygaard 11:59, 18 Dec 2004 (UTC)
