Has Anyone Else Noticed

[edit]

Every time I watch Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome I am struck by the fact that when Max is banished from Bartertown he is put on a horse backwards, hands tied, and a huge fake head is put over his head. It looks remarkably like the ones worn by the Autons, when they are handing out the plastic daffodils, in this episode. I'm just curious if any other Wikipedia - Doctor Who fans have ever noticed this.MarnetteD | Talk 23:29, 27 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I don't have a source, but apparently Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome did use a prop from Terror of the Autons for that scene. Similarly, Star Wars reused some flight suits from Doctor Who's The Tenth Planet. Jabalong | Talk 13:18, 1 Apr 2014 (UTC)

Videodisc

[edit]

Apparently McDermott's death in the plastic chair was done on Videodisc in reverse to avoid rewind tracking on the image. Does anyone have any idea what format? None of the options available by late 1970 on the wikilinked article sound very practical for what was planned. Romomusicfan (talk) Romomusicfan (talk) 13:37, 22 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
