Levine the Anarchist?

[edit]

Levine has stated in So Ask: Essays, Conversations, and Interview that he's not an "anarchist" per se, though he does have sympathy with the movement.

Calling him an "anarchist poet" isn't simply wrong-headed; it's plain unfactual. --The Prowler, 6.5.06

Literary nonsense

[edit]

I am not sure if an article on Levine, or any writer, should include literary analysis of his or her works in the way it is persented here. It reads like a review of a Greenday concert. I would like to see less review of the "quality" and "meaning" of Levine's work and more about his contributions to the art of poetry. Bad analysis should never be used to back up false statements about a wrtier's life.

concerned reader

I started this mess by repeating some popular interpretations I've heard of Levine's work. Since then, the article has turned into a cesspool of pretentious bullshit. I apologize; I'll try and repair the damage. 209.247.5.49 16:26, 31 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WP:EL states that external links should be kept to a minimum. It also prohibits blogs and many links to the same organisation. This is not a fansite. Span (talk) 16:03, 17 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, you obviously didn't check the links you deleted. They are mainly audios of the poems read buy their author and have nothing to do with what you mention above. I wish you (or somebody else) would work on the "work" section instead of edit-waring about links to poems which doesn't get the article any further, and I'd appreciate it, if you could stop it. Thanks, Ajnem (talk) 13:24, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I did check the links. The audio poems are still listed under 'external links' and 22 is too many. It's fine to link to the poems as they maybe mentioned in the works section. Span (talk) 14:46, 19 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Bibliography

[edit]

I have commenced a tidy-up of the Bibliography section using cite templates and tables for short stories, poems and/or book reviews. Capitalization and punctuation follow standard cataloguing rules in AACR2 and RDA, as much as Wikipedia templates allow it. ISBNs and other persistent identifiers, where available, are commented out, but still available for reference. This is a work in progress; feel free to continue.
