Hello, Fpga! Welcome to the English Wikipedia (or should I say dobrodošel? :-)). --Romanm 07:15, 17 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Thank you

[edit]

I'd just like to thank you for your contribution to Wikipedia, those were some much needed photos. --Aramgutang 15:06, 17 Aug 2004 (UTC)

  • I made a few minor changes to your additions to Sanahin, shortening the info that can also be found at Anastas Mikoyan, and I played around with the Khor Virap layout. Feel free to improve on those changes if you like and thanks again for the new photos. As soon as I have the time, I'll scan some of the photos from my childhood photoalbum, they're not that good, but there's a few nice ones of Haghpat, Sardarapat and Zvartnots. --Aramgutang 09:59, 19 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Komitas Vardapet

[edit]

Hey, I moved Komitas Vartabet to Komitas Vardapet, you can update the Slovenian article as you see fit. --Aramgutang 00:41, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC)

Odzun

[edit]

Odzun in Armenian script would be "Օձուն" (Օձուն). The letter Օ is actually used in any word starting with an "o" sound. It's use inside the word body is reserved for a few rare cases though. Thanks again for contributing so much about my homeland, I've been so busy with college, I've hardly had the time to check my watchlist recently. --Aramgutang 18:53, 15 Sep 2004 (UTC)

Sevan

[edit]

Sevan is usually referred to as "Սևանա լիճ" (Sevana litch). I don't think there's any need for Western Armenian spelling of names of things in Armenia. Nice job on Odzun, by the way. --Aramgutang 17:14, 2 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Anton_Rop.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Hi, To assist global anti-counterfeiting efforts you may wish to consider marking images of banknotes you upload as "Specimen" in some way, if those banknotes represent legal tender.ShakespeareFan00 16:14, 19 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Ambartsumyan-100dram.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Ambartsumyan-100dram.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Prospect (punk rock band), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. AfD nomination of Prospect (punk rock band)

[edit]

An editor has nominated Prospect (punk rock band), an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Prospect (punk rock band) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 20:59, 6 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Fpga! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 48 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

Fair use rationale for File:100dram-old.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:100dram-old.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 12:00, 16 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
