2. Why haven't you (they) been asking to enter?

Was someone actually convicted of something or is this just hyperbole?

Actually, not at all clear that he doesn't use "Ronald" in other contexts. See Ronald MacDonald (economist) & its ext lks, e.g. his Strathclyde photo (which i can't display) is labelled using "Ronnie".
