Political Positions	Senator McCaskill is known for her efforts to reduce fraud among defense contractors, particularly in Iraq and Afghanistan. As part of these efforts, she aimed to enhance whistleblower protections for defense contractor employees. McCaskill supports providing a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants who entered the U.S. as children. In 2009, she voted in support of the Affordable Care Act. She introduced the Victims Protection Act of 2014. While the Act passed in the Senate, it did not pass in the House of Representatives. The goal of this bill was to help those who were victims of sexual assault in the military. McCaskill has supported expanding background checks for guns and banning bump stocks. In 2017, she opposed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, arguing that it favored the wealthy.

He believes that climate change exists, although he is uncertain if human activity plays a role in it. Blunt opposed the Affordable Care Act. In 2013, he opposed the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, a bill that aimed to prohibit employer discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity. He supported President Trump's executive order to temporarily restrict immigration from predominantly Muslim countries.
