angelaHello there, welcome to the 'pedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you have any other questions about the project then check out Wikipedia:Help or add a question to the Village pump. Cheers! --maveric149

Hi Llull. I left you a message on the Catalan Wikipedia. Just thought I'd better point it out as it's easy to miss things when you don't have a watchlist. Angela 05:39, Sep 21, 2003 (UTC)

My English is so bad and the article is bad. Llull 18:34, 1 Oct 2003 (UTC)

I moved this from the village pump in case you hadn't seen it yet:

In the Catalan Wikipedia we have more than 60 wrong pages that we want to delete but nobody can do it. Where I have to request the permition? Llull 18:26, 23 Sep 2003 (UTC)
As the Catalan Wikipedia is running on the old software, you need a password to delete articles. I think you would probably have to contact Jimbo ([1]) for this unless the developers are able to give it out. Angela 18:33, Sep 23, 2003 (UTC)
Yes, yes I told with Brion. Thnx. Nou I can. Llull 18:34, 1 Oct 2003 (UTC)

I need help in the Catalan version

[edit]

We have lots of vandalism from Spanish nacionalists and others. We need ban them, but how? I have the password that let me to delete pages. ¿Is the same that let ban de people? Have I to request another password or I have to visit an other page with the same password? Thanks. Llull 10:12, 6 Nov 2003 (UTC)

Llull, please see UseMod:AdminFeatures for documentation on the admin system on the old wikis. --Brion 21:39, 6 Nov 2003 (UTC)

Hello. Please use complete sentences rather than dictionary-style definitions, and highlight the title word or title phrase at its first appearance, like this. Michael Hardy 01:46, 23 Nov 2003 (UTC)

OK Llull 10:01, 23 Nov 2003 (UTC)

Thanks for catching brain-o in Catalan grammar. Not failing to understand "i", just got sloppy in the process of an edit that was a combination of markup & copy edit. Also you say you are "not sure if the aproximation of the meaning of these pronoums is correct." I'd appreciate it if you'd be more specific about what you have any doubts about, because I'd like to sort it out & get it right. As is obvious, my Catalan is not very good; I'm working on these translations partly by way of improving my language comprehension. It's about my 5th or 6th best language, and I don't even speak it well enough to properly carry on a conversation, so I could very well have misunderstood something. (Hopefully, if I don't get too busy with paid work - which I guess wouldn't be a bad thing - I'll be learning a lot more over the next few weeks!) And I would be very happy if you'd keep an eye on my work and let me know where I screw up, which I'm sure I sometimes will. -- Jmabel 07:04, 18 Jan 2004 (UTC)

Zero-byte image

[edit]

Hello; I just deleted an image you uploaded back in August 2003, because it was zero bytes. It was Image:Occitania.jpg, and had the caption Flag from Occitania that use to represents the Occitan language. It's quite possible you already re-uploaded it or know about the upload error, but I thought I'd let you know just in case. --Delirium 09:54, Feb 17, 2004 (UTC)

Dragonlance Gods Family Tree

[edit]

On this page, Template:Pantheon of Dragonlance, you created a dragonlance gods family tree. You're missing a god, Mina. Currently very little is known about her, as the other gods have just realized that Mina is a god. Please add Mina on the side with a question mark. Thanks. ddcc 22:01, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Mina

[edit]

Putting her on the side with no links a question mark could work. ddcc 03:51, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks

[edit]

Thanks. I would have done it myself, but I'm not sure how to edit the family trees. ddcc 22:41, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Riverwind image

[edit]

Hello there! Regarding your latest edit in the Riverwind image [2], please specify who scanned it, the book name in spanish and publishing year. If you don't, the source won't be fulfilled, and I will revert it back to the version I have uploaded with the correct source. Thanks. -- ReyBrujo 20:57, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hehehehe. Esta bien. Sin embargo, existe una sección en la guía, la número 2, que dice An image of a rose, cropped from an image of a record album jacket, used to illustrate an article on roses. Saludos. -- ReyBrujo 21:42, 28 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Biotechnology in Wikipedia:Version 1.0

[edit]

This article has been identified by the Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team as a Core Topic. Biotechnology has been rated as Start-Class on the assessment scale, can we push it for Good Article? See the status of Biotechnology in Table. Hope you don't mind if I contact you in your English Talk page. --Victor.P.Das 08:13, 10 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well thanks for complementing my English. But I want some people to work with me, like WP:COTW such that it can moved from a Start-Stage through B-Class to a Good Article. When Wikipedia:Version 1.0 is published the article on Biotechnology should be one of the best. Do you know any Wiki User who are interested? Are the members of Catalan Association of Biotechnology Wiki Users? Are you studying Biotechnology in University. Good luck for your exams. Regards. --Victor.P.Das 19:23, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Biotechnology is a candidate for the1.0 core topics collaboration of the fortnight. Please see that page to support or comment on the nomination. --Victor 22:10, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

the article is now a 1.0 core topics collaboration of the fortnight. I've put up a template {{to do}} in the talk page. Please feel free to suggest any changes and/improvements to the article on this template. This article needs co-operative work of people like you. Thanks. --Victor 17:52, 28 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! Thank you for taking part in the COTF. But this work is far from over. The article's improvement in the COTF is termed as "little done" (Wikipedia:Version_1.0_Editorial_Team/Core_topics/Core_topics_COTF#History). Please contribute and keep up the vigil against spammers. Good luck! --Victor 18:17, 8 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Images

[edit]

Most are already in there, but I've added the rest except for the gnoll and the role-playing dice because they don't really relate to dragonlance. Also, check Category:Dragonlance images and Category:Dragonlance covers for any images you might have missed. ddcc 01:16, 27 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Riverwind the Plainsman cover.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Riverwind the Plainsman cover.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:27, 9 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:DL CaramonAndCrysania.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:DL CaramonAndCrysania.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Psychonaut (talk) 18:22, 11 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
