Organization

[edit]

So... in order to find a specific superhero you must first know which publisher published the title your superhero was in?

I think superheroes ought to have all superheroes listed in it, as well as have them listed by publisher.

All articles in a subcategory are assumed to be implicitly categorized in the parent category, i.e. everyone in Category:DC Comics superheroes is by association already in Category:Superheroes. -Sean Curtin 01:18, Mar 14, 2005 (UTC)
Yeah, but suppose I'm a user, and I say, 'Hey, what was that cool superhero who was into squirrels...' I go looking at categories, and see just a set of publishers (about 15 zillion of them when wikipedia is completed), now I've got to go to each publisher, and then to each super-hero group within the publisher, etc, in order to eventually find squirrel-girl.
I guess you're saying instead I should be making a list of all superheroes, instead of working on the categories...

Some superheroes have had multiple publishers, which is part of why that organizational system sucks. Another reason it sucks is because it was probably devised based the premiss that characters from the same company are related to each other as part of the same shared "universe", which may not be the case at all. The characters should be in alphabetical lists, with pages dedicated to different initial letters.--Drvanthorp 21:10, 12 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Male/female superheros?

[edit]

What about having male/female superheros categories? I don't have time to do it myself, but anyone want a project?! Missdipsy 16:06, 28 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
