Noticed multiple references to reviews published on AllMusic.com within the timeline. AllMusic was not founded until 1991, yet the article references modern AllMusic reviews multiple times within the Music Career section from 1976-1990, e.g.:
"It was followed by the low-charting Billboard country singles "(There's Nothing Like the Love) Between a Woman and Man" and "Glad I Waited Just for You". Mercury issued her self-titled debut album in 1977. In his album review, Greg Adams of AllMusic compared it to the country crossover style of Barbara Mandrell and Tammy Wynette."
The issue is that the article flips back and forth between referencing AllMusic reviews (that were written years after the album/single's release) and reception at the time of release, such as Billboard charts and RIAA certification. The aforementioned section, prior to AllMusic's creation, references AllMusic three times, but only one other critical reception (a Billboard article from 1984, mentioned in reference to My Kind of Country).
The inclusion of the AllMusic reviews within the timeline is confusing/misleading, especially since they are most of the critical commentary included in the timeline prior to 1990. The implication here is that reviewers on AllMusic form the critical consensus of the era the singles/albums were released in, which they could not have been. It may be beneficial to add a 'Critical Reception' section or equivalent, or altenatively supplement with additional reviews of the time. I've added reception from a 1984 UPI article, will look for more reviews from the time period. IJF99 (talk) 04:40, 31 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

This is a very well written article with a well done narrative form, but the section in my heading appears a bit too much like a list and could be made to better flow as part of the larger narrative. 47.12.225.19 (talk) 05:09, 1 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
