deletion debate

[edit]

An anonymous user claims to have created the first two paragraphs in the article as of the date I post this to the talk page. The article doesn't make sense without them there, and content submitted to Wikipedia is licensed under the GFDL, so I restored them. This is the value of the GFDL; I really wasn't trying to be an ass. Please consider rewriting these two paragraphs in this article. Hopefully this will appease the anonymous user who was angered by a VfD notice placed on this page early in its life, and the anonymous user will reconsider contributing to Wikipedia. --Unfocused 21:11, 11 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I was angered by the fact that my contribution was "speedy" deleted with an insult attached to the deletion log page--this fact alone took me a little while to uncover, as I worked to find out why my page had suddenly disappeared. Then, after I made an snide remark, the person who deleted my article commenced to accuse me of various untrue things, and continues to make personal attacks behind my back despite my (I believe) reasonable and polite requests to stop.

I guess the thing is, this guy (who Wikipedia has apparently given the power to delete pages and ban people) just rubbed me so hard the wrong way that I'm determined now to prevent this site from using any of my content. Sorry, but I hope you'll understand...

the decline of rays

[edit]

the lawsuit is over and the number of ray'ses are down considerably.

[edit]

I can't believe that there is nothing in here about what they serve. Is it safe to assume that they serve only New York style cheese pizza? HuskyHuskie (talk) 08:34, 23 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File:RaysSixth.JPG Nominated for speedy Deletion

[edit]
An image used in this article, File:RaysSixth.JPG, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?
Speedy deletions at commons tend to take longer than they do on Wikipedia, so there is no rush to respond. If you feel the deletion can be contested then please do so (commons:COM:SPEEDY has further information). Otherwise consider finding a replacement image before deletion occurs.

Roio's Pizza is CLOSED!

[edit]

Roio's Pizza, formerly Ray's Pizza, located at 6th ave and 11th st, for many years one of the most famous and distinctive of all the Ray's Pizzas in NYC, which had served oversized slices of excellent, chewy pizza since the 1970s, is CLOSED now. I had put this fact into the article earlier but someone removed it. Now I have put it back, with a reference. Keep it in the article please! Readers need to know!
