Place of Birth

[edit]

I'm assuming it was North Shields (not Whitley Bay) as that's where the local hospital with maternity ward was in 1978. Consequently, I changed it back to Shields.

Transfer Fees

[edit]

leedsfans.org says he moved to Leeds for £4.5M rather than £6M.

sporting-heroes.net says £5.6M.

4thegame.com, skysports.com and soccerbase.com say £5M.

Does anyone know the correct fee?

Anon user 21:41, 1 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It was undisclosed I think and the fee was between 4 and 6 million pounds no body knows

Goals

[edit]

He definitely scored more than 19 goals for Leeds

He only scored 19 league goals all during the 1999-2000 season all the other goals were in cups games and european games Kingjamie 11:49, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Youth Team

[edit]

Michael Bridges was not in Sunderland's youth team. He attended the 6th form of his local high school, and was scouted shortly after they won the British under-19 College cup.
