Please change the "Background Information" panel. Some wise-guy wants someone to think they have something to do with "disco." They don't. Their music consists of standard rock-band instrumentation and playing style, with a punk abrasiveness. No one would ever confuse them with disco -- this isn't a matter of opinion, it's just someone playing a dumb joke.69.118.254.94 (talk) 11:20, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
I took some photos of this band at The Charlotte in Leicester Monday last week, as part of their pre-album tour. There was quite a good turnout. This ia a reminder note to make me upload them. Morwen - Talk 13:57, 26 May 2005 (UTC)
It might be noted that the band shares some similarities to Uncle Buddy's Phantom Funhouse, a hypercard fiction(?). Arthur (where Art? comes from) Newkirk heads a band, and he's looking for an "elusive" Emily Keane. (http://jodi.tamu.edu/Articles/v01/i07/Rau/) See Uncle Buddy: Death of the Reader. I would ascribe one or the other to coincidence, but I think that's something that needs to be mentioned or at least debunked?

[edit]This image -> Art Brut band March 19 2006.jpg was removed from the article, and should be put back. Yes, the one there is prettier. It ain't free, though - see Wikipedia:Fair use policy. Morwen - Talk 23:37, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
Currently on Tour
[edit]They aren't - the tour finished. Unhelpful to talk about what anyone is currently doing on Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.64.105.235 (talk) 06:29, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
- I don't see what's wrong with it, particularly if well cited. It's no problem to update it when circumstances change. If something is current how else can one describe it? Wwwhatsup (talk) 10:02, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
Michael Davey?
[edit]There's no evidence in the article (or in a cursory browse of the web) to suggest that a Michael Davey was ever in the band, or that a lineup consisting of six members (as he certainly didn't replace anyone) ever existed. Until his involvement is sourced properly he should be removed from the band members' sections. If he was involved in the band, but only as a substitute guitarist for an ailing or otherwise absent band member, he should be included, but as 'touring personnel', not as a regular band member. Kind regards, 109.145.126.16 (talk) 23:36, 4 April 2015 (UTC)

External links
[edit]- There are eleven entries in the "External links". Three seems to be an acceptable number and of course, everyone has their favorite to add for four. The problem is that none is needed for article promotion.
- ELpoints #3) states:
Links in the "External links" section should be kept to a minimum. A lack of external links or a small number of external links is not a reason to add external links.
- LINKFARM states:
There is nothing wrong with adding one or more useful content-relevant links to the external links section of an article; however, excessive lists can dwarf articles and detract from the purpose of Wikipedia. On articles about topics with many fansites, for example, including a link to one major fansite may be appropriate.
- WP:ELMIN:
Minimize the number of links
