Dave Blockhead

[edit]

It's not clear to me who Dave Blockhead is and when he was in the band, as well as his role. It seems like he was in the original lineup, but the article isn't explicit. Jjwyatt (talk) 18:39, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Images of the band past vs current

[edit]

As an article about the band it is important that the info box image be of the original band (ie with Saxa) as this would reflect the time of their original and greatest success and popularity. Using a more current image is especially complicated as there are two distinct bands touring as The Beat playing the original songs. The image currently is of the American band of Dave Wakeling in which he is the only original member. The English band with Ranking Roger has the majority of original members. This current image of Dave Wakeling in Los Angeles is pretty-to-look-at and it has the wikipedia holy label of FREE, but as information it is slightly misleading and should be placed in the "Reformations" section as a thumb. - Steve3849 talk 23:07, 8 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Agree. If anything, The British version should be in the picture, as there are two original members (Roger and Everett), but the original would be better. Also, I struggle when I see the Current Members box. I'll do it, unless someone with more knowledge of the members of Dave and Roger's bands steps up.Pollythewasp (talk) 15:13, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It would be nice to sort out, explicitly, the various lineups. - Jmabel | Talk 01:48, 24 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ranking Junior

[edit]

Ranking Junior redirects to Ranking Roger, so the "Members" section of the info box links to Roger's page twice. Thelemur78 (talk) 17:39, 21 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
