Alternate Album Cover

[edit]

Is there an Alternate album cover with his eyes are normal eyes with no reflection? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.103.173.3 (talk) 00:54, 18 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sanitarium/Sanatorium

[edit]

I think the article means asylum where it says sanatorium/sanitarium. A sanatorium is a residential hospital for treating chronic diseases like tuberculosis. I think Alice's alcoholism led to him staying in a mental asylum. Stub Mandrel (talk) 20:50, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Genre

[edit]

@Caro7200 Hi, the genres on this article have changed a LOT over the past while and I want to talk as to not encourage genre warring. I disagree with attaching "Heavy Metal" to this article, aside from the fact I personally do not hear heavy metal as I can't source myself, I feel skeptical of that specific Globe and Mail source alone to back it up. I cannot access the source as to my knowledge archives of that particular newspaper are only accessible through a specific library function, but I will take your word for it that the source itself states that it is heavy metal. I still have concerns with it, however. For one, it's from 1978. I have serious doubts that the term "heavy metal" being used in this time period was being used in the same unambiguous and definitive sense that the phrase would invoke today, I would argue that the meaning of the term 'heavy metal' in common use during that time and the use of the term 'hard rock' and other rock genres would be quite blurry (this is not exactly something I am sure how to cite but it is meant more to be persuasive than to be something put in the article.) And another concern and maybe more importantly, I do not think referring to this album as "heavy metal" as at all in common widespread usage. This[1] and this[2] refer to it as rock, that much is undisputed, but it is not commonly known as "heavy metal". UlyssesYYZ (talk) 22:48, 19 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
