Intro

[edit]

It is claimed that Hunter is "one of the greatest wrestlers of all time". Claimed by whom, and published by what source? How did this achieve Good Article status?

To add to this -> Why is the entire article written as if there was actual wrestling going on with fights "won" or "lost" when it is all a pre-determined show? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.237.215.104 (talk) 23:52, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Firstly, in regard to his “one of the greatest of all time” status, Triple H is a 14 time World Champion. That in itself puts him well into that category. Many other professional wrestlers such as Ric Flair, Undertaker and even MJF have put him in their Mount Rushmore’s of professional wrestling.
secondly with the “win” and “loss” terminology, although professional wrestling is predetermined, the terminology loss and won still fit the bill as it’s describing the outcome of these matches. Predetermined or otherwise. 82.38.114.133 (talk) 03:23, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I back this person up. Couldn't be more right; and this is coming from someone that contradicts and has endless constructive criticism, without bias. Saying why he is one of the best, directly in that paragraph, is not necessary because the data on the page is enough evidence.
If the sentence was, "Michael Jordon is one of the greatest basketball players, of all time," I would be surprised to see someone contradict that, when there is concrete evidence to support it. He is better than LeBron James, Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal. Remove people's feelings about these 3 players, and look at just the data, and a logical conclusion is left. I find most sports enthusiasts do not like data, and just push for how they feel. Triple H has data to back it up (even on his wiki page), and therefore, it is not subjective and is unnecessary to provide a citation. Damez2000 (talk) 15:57, 4 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Change “ He has gained late-career praise for his behind-the-scenes work at WWE, which includes creating the developmental branch NXT, and has earned acknowledgment for his business acumen in professional wrestling.” To “He gained late-career praise for his behind-the-scenes work at WWE, which included creating the developmental branchNXT. Having been acknowledged for his business acumen in professional wrestling, Levesque would be elevated to Chief Content Officer of WWE in 2022.[1] 82.38.114.133 (talk) 02:17, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: this edit is redundant, the information you want to add is already in the article right here. Thickynugnug (talk) 04:08, 17 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Timeline of events_First Singles Loss

[edit]

In the paragraph above the one I contradict, it states that HHH fought Undertaker at survivor series, and lost during this singles match. The point that needs removing/altering is the following:

It was during this time that Helmsley suffered his first loss in singles competition in WWF, against Bret Hart on the March 4 episode of Raw.

If he was in a singles match prior to this, then this cant be the first singles loss. Damez2000 (talk) 16:01, 4 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
