Okay, I fixed it anyway. You may want to check that all of the data is correct, but I think that I got it all. what is a 6 pounder anyway? how does it equate to mm?

There is something very wrong with the tables, and I do not know how to fix it. I fixed a few bad links and some minor typos, but I do not know how to fix the table. ThinkerThoughts 17:06, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The author is the webmaster for Project Liberty Ship and and wrote this article after meeting some of the survivors on the SS John W. Brown. I am looking for my pictures. Oldfarm 03:10, 22 Oct 2004 (UTC)

The date is wrong in this sentence, but I can't find the correct year:

In 1942, Captain Carini was posthumously awarded the Krigskorset med Sverd or Norwegian War Cross with Sword.

Was CPT Alfred Carini a navel CAPT/Col? If so he would out rank LTC Keith N. Allen, and will change the order of the officers. --Dandvsp (talk) 14:36, 25 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

E.S. Campbell merger opposed

[edit]

A merge request with the E. S. Campbell article has been proposed. That articles refers to other aspects of this seaman's life in addition to his service on the SS Henry Bacon. The SS Henry Bacon article does not refer to him. I suggest the merge be rejected and the merge requests removed.

The merge of Earnal S. Campbell should be approved to the extent of his service on board the Henry Bacon. He was the Chief Radio Operator and because of his bravery, determination, perfection, and unrelenting devotion to duty, the two life boats were located within 3 hours after the Henry Bacon succumbed to the violent sea. All passengers of the life boats were rescued by the HMS Opportune, whose radio operator had received the SOS sent by Mr. Campbell. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.196.199.66 (talk) 03:51, 26 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
