After the surrender of Japan, the MPAJA went a full genocide called as "mosum operandi".The genocide lasted about 14 days.In those 14 bloody days, many Malays, Chinese and Indians were killed because they were believed to be administrative staff or for helping the Japanese during the reign, they were sentenced through a kangaroo court, with villages and towns attacked.After 14 days of genocide, the British fully got control of Malaya once again and asked the MPAJA to surrender and give the weapons back.

During those 14 days, the MPAJA went on a rampage, acting brutally by killing Malays, Indians and Chinese whom they claimed were Japanese secret police.They took revenge without humanity even though the Malays who were killed were their neighbors. Among those incidents, MPAJA soldiers tortured the Malays because their dogs were killed.As a result, a large number of Malays felt that the actions of the MPAJA were like 'crowling roosters' boasting in people's villages.
The genocide began in such places like Batu Pahat, Kuala Pilah, Parit, Teluk Intan and lastly, Kuala Kangsar. {{cite web}}
