License tagging for Image:77BS B-25.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:77BS B-25.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 17:04, 14 September 2006 (UTC)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Christopher Miner Spencer, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Christopher Spencer. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 03:53, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Terry Farrell photo

[edit]

Hi, thanks for your contributions to the Terry Farrell (actress) page. Unfortunately, WP:FU states that the image must be of free use if it is replaceable. Since Terry is still a living person, it is replaceable and therefore, we cannot use the publicity image for her actress page. This is permissable in the Jadzia Dax page, but unfortunately not the Terry page. Please see WP:FU for any further information, and let me know if you have any more questions. Thanks! Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Der Kadett.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Der Kadett.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:57, 27 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sign posts

[edit]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. -Fnlayson (talk) 22:20, 16 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File:LPD-17 Class.jpg

[edit]

Hi. You uploaded this file and I wanted to move it to Commons. But the file lacks source - are you the author of this photo? Could you add information about it? Thanks. Lukasz Lukomski (talk) 16:33, 16 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What information do you want? It is a US Government photo, as indicated in the license information I provided Klausner (talk) 04:28, 20 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Grand Concourse

[edit]

Good point re Grand Concourse underpasses. Deserves a sentence. Would you do it? Bellagio99 (talk) 15:24, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hopefully more than one sentence ;) I can't doi it, despite having lived there, because like most of the residents, I have no idea of the history. The architecture suggests that they were done by the WPA, but that's an assumption. Klausner (talk) 00:15, 16 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
