What of the metaphorical conotation of ripple?

This page should be replaced by a ripple disambiguation page, along with the 3 stubs.

What's it called? Ripple, lawd! What's the deal? Might not be real!

[edit]

I am interested in the Ripple that figured prominantly in the TV series "Sanford & Son" as an alcoholic beverage. Was it a brand name of an actual product (e.g. Thunderbird) or was it a satire of fortified wines in general and their typical consumers? The website Bumwines seems to think it existed -- http://www.bumwine.com/others.html -- but has no real info.

Ripple wine was definately real!!! I grew up in the 70's and enjoyed many bottles of frutiflavored cheap RIPPLE wine. Ripple wine appeared in many of the shoulder bags carried into Rock Concerts of the day. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.129.120.161 (talk) 19:45, 6 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
