Editing of this page/Vandalism

[edit]

Continued removal of the references to Patterson as a homosexual or his romantic relationship with singer Tevin Campbell will be considered acts of vandalism and those making such edits will be issued a warning. Whatever your issue with this fact is, it is nonetheless a relevant fact, and it's removal is inappropriate. Pacian 03:40, 16 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

That was quite out of order. As revealed below you were insisting on the addition of unsourced material and then calling people who wanted sources vandals. That was uncivil, against several policies and an implied personal attack. You owe everyone an apology. Cloachland 03:31, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

When you say "lover", do you mean this lover or that lover"? --b. Touch 20:40, 9 Mar 2005 (UTC)

They are gay lovers. I am changing the wording to be accurate. Pacian 20:44, 29 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

There does need to be a citation of fact for this page. It is clear this request is referring to the fact that Patterson is the lover of Campbell and is gay. This is common knowledge, and common knowledge does not to be cited. I don't see you asking for a citation RE: the sexuality of Ellen Degeneres, or about her history with Anne Heche. Why? Because that's common knowledge, as is this. Pacian 16:53, 23 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

You also don't request a citation for the same fact as stated on the Tevin Campbell page. Campbell was outed when he was arrested for soliciting a police officer 1. Pacian 16:57, 23 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

While it is true that Tevin Campbell was outed, it is not true that he and Rahsaan are lovers. I personally know Rahsaan and though I suspect that he MAY BE secretly gay, he is not at all involved with Tevin Canpbell. They are not even friends in the least bit. Rahsaan has been dating singer Trina Broussard for many years.

Ellen Degeneres' history with Anne Heche is verifiable. They talked about it openly and often, as well did the media. Not one remotely reputable sources has ever said that Tevin and Rahsaan were even friends.

Where is the source that Patterson is gay, as well as that Tevin Campbell allegedly coming out with the relationship? Without the source, you're opening yourself up to libel, Pacian.

Rashaan has a flick out. It came out September 5th.

Sexuality

[edit]

Per Wikipedia:WikiProject LGBT studies (and Wikipedia general guidelines, really), we cannot categorize him as gay without sources. I have, however, left the info in Trivia section with specific reference tags until it can be sourced. Please note that if anyone else decides to remove the info altogether, it is NOT VANDALISM and entirely appropriate. I could actually be sleeping with him myself, but without a verifiable source (magazine, TV program, etc) it cannot be added to the article. TAnthony 00:44, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Someone else removed the following unsourced statement, I'm preserving it here for possible later use.
  • Patterson has an alleged romantic partnership with musician Tevin Campbell.

Quite correct, of course it needs sources, even if it is allegedly common knowledge in some circles. Cloachland 03:29, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Rahsaan Patterson.jpg

[edit]

Image:Rahsaan Patterson.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Sexuality - again..

[edit]

So Patterson's personal life has been added back in. And the source given *implies* that he's gay, though he doesn't come out and say it. I'm inclined to remove the info unless a better reference can be found? -- SatyrTN (talk / contribs) 03:45, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
