Grindstone City

[edit]

How is it spelled. I think that way. I also think it is a "ghost town" and not an "unincorporated community." Check it out on Google. Could use some references, maybe an article. Here are some papers from the Clarke Historical Library on Grindstone City which suggest that my spelling is correct: Cook, Mabel. History of Grindstone City, Mich. CMU Term Paper, n.d.

Cook, Mabel. History of Grindstone City, New River, and Eagle Bay. Grindstone City, MI: 1972.

Cook, Mabel. History of Grindstone City Schools. Grindstone City, Eagle Bay and New River. Grindstone City, MI: 1959. 7&6=thirteen (talk) 12:49, 24 February 2008 (UTC)Stan[reply]

This is the correct spelling for Grindstone City. It is not a "ghost town," but rather a still functioning unincorporated community. In Grindstone you will find a marina, an ice cream parlor/antiquity store, a restaraunt, a campground, and many residents. Bamclaug (talk) 03:43, 29 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
