This article needs to be rewritten to tone down the POV language. And is this original work? RickK 07:16, Apr 26, 2005 (UTC)

I'm not seeing the POV you speak of. Could you cite an example? Otherwise I think we should remove the template. Everyking 19:10, 27 Apr 2005 (UTC)
How about The lyrics of the song were also largely criticized by fans although it should be noted that many radio critics also felt that the lyrics of this song were less ditzy than bigger hits, such as "Heartbreaker", "Dreamlover", "Fantasy", and "It's Like That".

The music video, one of Mariah's most bombastic and complex? RickK 22:06, Apr 27, 2005 (UTC)

Perhaps that could be toned down slightly. But I think citing it would work just as well. Everyking 22:15, 27 Apr 2005 (UTC)

"bombastic" is clearly POV, and the radio critics' opinion is not supported. RickK 04:18, Apr 28, 2005 (UTC)

What does until the fans hoarded Mariah mean? I wanted to fix it, by I have no idea what to fix it to. RickK 19:06, Apr 28, 2005 (UTC)

“The One”

[edit]

Shouldn't "The One" have its own page between "Through The Rain" and "Boy (I Need You)"?

If "Underneath the Stars," "Whenever You Call," "Sweetheart," "Do You Know Where You're Going To (Theme From Mahogany)," and "Last Night a DJ Saved My Life" have their own pages although the singles were either unreleased or withdrawn, then "The One" should have a page of its own, too. Promotional CDs were pressed, club mixes were commissioned and leaked to DJs and webmasters, and a hip-hop remix was produced and recorded. The music video that became "Boy (I Need You)" was originally shot in Japan as the video for "The One."

Fair enough. OmegaWikipedia 18:46, 16 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Merge into "Boy (I Need You)

[edit]

The songs "You Got Me" and "Irresistible (Westside Connection)", cannot necessarily be considered "singles" if the vinyl release, "MC...Move the Crowd", was used as a "tester". It would than constitute as as an album sampler, like the album samplers released for Mariah Carey and Glitter. Thus, I think that the relevant info in these articles should simply be merged into the "Boy (I Need You)", as it was the only song on the sampler that actually transformed into a single. In addition, the information featured in the articles are either redundant, unnecesary, cruft, or can be found elsewhere. Any relevant info on song production and credentials can simply be put into the Charmbracelet album article. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Grey Pursuit (talkcontribs) 03:51, 12 March 2006.

Non-reviewer comment – That background section is the perfect example of WP:UNDUE and needs pruning. If any other help is needed let me know. Would love to help around although I'm getting the hang of it. :) —Indian:BIO · [ ChitChat ] 12:13, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
