Do we need this meta-category, or should the categories it contains migrate upwards, becoming a subcategory of "Slovenian people". In my opinion, the structure is too exhaustive, with numerous categories having perhaps a few entries (Slovenian chess players, Slovenian engineers, Olympic rowers of Slovenia etc.). While we don't have thousands of entries, I would propose "Slovenian people" having only a selected few categories:

  • Slovenian artists (writers, painters, architects, actors, musicians etc.)
  • Slovenian scientists (mathematicians, philologists, philosophers, inventors, engineers etc.)
  • Slovenian military persons
  • Slovenian politicians
  • Slovenian sportspeople (does the term "athlete" mean somebody doing athletics only, or sports in general? If the latter, I would opt for it.)

I believe we should only start thinking of breaking the categories into, say, writers, painters etc. once the list goes beyond a screenful (e.g. over 100 entries). Does Wikipedia has some policy on this? --Peterlin 16:02, 25 Jan 2005 (UTC)
