You've been editing since summer 2004, and I just want to thank you for sticking with it, suffering slings etc., and helping out all over the place, all while improving this project and grand repository of knowledge. If I ever have the opportunity (after this current global pandemic), I'd like to shake your hand; in the meantime, I hope this barnstar will suffice. — Fourthords | =Λ= | 15:39, 21 August 2021 (UTC) |
Tanglewood Forest photo ideas
[edit]I found Tanglewood Forest, Texas was a former CDP annexed by Austin. One idea is to photograph its local school, Kocurek Elementary School (9800 Curlew Dr, Austin, TX 78748). I wonder if there are neighborhood signage or other markers of the area.
Also I found there are some parks that may be nice to photograph that are in Tanglewood Forest.
- Tanglewood Forest Park (9801 Curlew Drive ) - Includes a swimming pool
- Gazebo Park (2905 Jubilee Trail)
- Greenbrier Park (2810 Slaughter Ln.)
- Howellwood Park (2524 Howellwood Way)
- Idyllwild Park (2204 Slaughter Ln.)
- Kempler Park (9302 Kempler Dr.)
- Lindshire Park (10204 Lindshire Ln)
- Renaissance Park (2204 Tabor Ct.)
- Woodlands Park (3011 Slaughter Ln.)
There's also Cherry Creek Neighborhood Park (3403 Silk Oak Dr, Austin, TX 78748), next to the Headwaters School campus. Thanks, WhisperToMe (talk) 22:22, 11 July 2022 (UTC)
Idea for DFW photography sites
[edit]If you go back to the DFW metroplex sometime, I have some photo ideas:
- Wilmer
- Wilmer Early Childhood Center (former Wilmer Elementary School): 211 Walnut St, Wilmer, TX 75172
- Hutchins
- Hutchins City Hall: 321 North Main Street, Hutchins, TX 75141
- Atwell Public Library: 300 N. Denton, Hutchins, TX 75141
- Dallas (near Wilmer and Hutchins)
- Wilmer-Hutchins Elementary School: 7475 J J Lemmon Rd, Dallas, TX 75241
- Kennedy Curry Middle School: 6605 Sebring Dr. , Dallas, TX 75241
- Wilmer-Hutchins High School: 5520 Langdon Road, Dallas, TX 75241
Are you interested in photographing Seagoville or Lancaster or other parts of southern Dallas County? I can mention ideas for those places too WhisperToMe (talk) 17:40, 28 August 2022 (UTC)
- I don't travel to DFW area much anymore, but I will keep these in mind. Regards Nv8200pa talk 10:33, 30 August 2022 (UTC)

McKinney Roughs Nature Park
[edit]Hello. Just wanted to thank you for taking pictures of McKinney Roughs Nature Park when you visited in 2022. I've used them for the new article: McKinney Roughs Nature Park. Feel free to review and provide feedback if you'd like. If you would like to collaborate on articles about the Austin area, feel free to reach out! Morogris (✉ • ✎) 19:08, 31 December 2023 (UTC)
- Hello again. Do you have pictures of the Hyatt Resort near McKinney Roughs? I'll be working on that article next.
- I just finished a draft for the giant squirrel statue they have in Cedar Creek (if you have any pictures that would be great)! I may go visit there in about a month to take pictures and could potentially stop by Hyatt and McKinney Roughs too. PS - I'll follow your page so you can respond here. Thanks! Morogris (✉ • ✎) 19:32, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
- I just have a selfie of Ms. Pearl and me, and the same for the Hyatt Resort, nothing that would be good for an article. Maybe I can get over there in the next week or so and get some images you can use until you get to visit the sites. Nv8200pa talk 22:24, 2 January 2024 (UTC)

I have sent you a note about a page you started
[edit]Hi Nv8200pa. Thank you for your work on Pecos mosquito fish. Another editor, MPGuy2824, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:
please add this common name with a reference to the target page

-MPGuy2824 (talk) 02:00, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
- @MPGuy2824: Pecos mosquito fish is an outdated usage I found in a 10-year-old book. The correct spelling probably should have been Pecos mosquitofish. I couldn't find a current reliable source that uses the term as an alternate for Pecos gambusia. Please delete. Thanks. Nv8200pa talk 11:46, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
- Would you have considered the book reliable at the time? If so, the alternative name is still an acceptable redirect (even though it is outdated). You could have added the details of the book as the ref. In any case, [1] seems good enough. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 11:54, 23 November 2024 (UTC)
