Bettina Hoy, individually and the German Team Eventing group won two gold medals. However do to a double mistake in the Hoy's last attempt, the medal were taken away after three different appeals. A fourth appeal to the IOC currently asks for two gold medals to be awarded in each competition. As of August 22, France stands as the winner of the team competition and a British rider is the winner of the individual title. The German competitors currently hold no medals. This however is not reflected in the official medal counts yet, therefore two gold medals have to be substracted from the total. Yardcock 12:09, Aug 22, 2004 (UTC)
