Overall tone

[edit]

The tone of much of this is that of a breathless teen. Avocats (talk) 07:06, 30 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Anyone know Marti Noxon's Date Of Birth? I can't find it anywhere on the 'net... -Erolos 21:56, 6 Dec 2004 (UTC)

This American Life

[edit]

Is this the same Marti Noxon that appears on Episode 298 of This American Life The preceding unsigned comment was added by 129.22.169.201 (talk • contribs) .

Sounds like her, but with added annoying Valleyisms, apparently prompted by Ira Glass ("she was all... let's go!"). Glass is a Buffy fan [1], so presumably he would have disambiguated if his guest happened to be another former Hollywood wannabe with the same (implausibly unchanged) name. [2] [3]

Point Unpleasant

[edit]

Despite Joss's loyalty to her, she is awful and wrecks every show she works on. Touchstone made a mistake. --Blue Tie

I completely disagree, I think Marti Noxon is a fantastic writer and has written some of the best episodes of Buffy, like The Wish and New Moon Rising. She's capable of writing the most amazingly emotional scripts and she is extremely creative and original. I'm so glad she's the executive producer of a popular show like Grey's Anatomy, she really deserves it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.188.181.205 (talkcontribs)

Fair use rationale for Image:Buffy TV logo.jpg

[edit]

Image:Buffy TV logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Incorrect Date

[edit]

The article says that Noxon was criticized at the end of Buffy season 5, but the source which is cited has a incorrect date. Whedon did not defend Noxon on May 22nd, 2001. He did it in 2002 at the end of the 6th season. The Bronze VIP archive says 2001 but if you check the actual postdate of his comment it says 2002. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.132.96.233 (talk) 03:31, 26 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality issues

[edit]

This article is written to imply that Noxon is difficult to work with. It goes out of its way to put "creative differences" and similar statements into quotes to describe her departure from various shows. Croctotheface (talk) 08:35, 28 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

@Croctotheface: Agree 100%. Especially given the nomadic nature of working on many projects for small periods of time if the writer / producer isn't the main showrunner, this isn't uncommon. I am going to add more background, information, and citations to this article, and will only include this information if it is fully substantiated. As it stands right now, though, agree, it's not neutral, not encyclopedic-ally relevant. It also seems wildly unfair, and possibly gender slanted. BrillLyle (talk) 20:13, 3 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
