Angeles

[edit]

Last time I checked, Angeles is not part of Pampanga, just as Baguio isn't part of Benguet. Is the analogy between the two accurate?

Well, technically speaking, Angeles City is no longer Pampanga as it's a chartered/independent city since the 1960s, much like Baguio. But the thing is the people in Angeles are predominantly Kapampangan, thus making it still pretty much associated with Pampanga. Ikabod08 21:49, 8 June 2007 (UTC)Ikabod08[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Apalit logo.PNG

[edit]

Image:Apalit logo.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Bernabe Buscayno

[edit]

Although he is Kapampangan, he hails from Capas in the province of Tarlac, and not Pampanga.

The Schools and Universities / Suggestion

Can we make the list in alphabetical order? This is a long list needs to be organize.Kixzer a.k.a.Franz710 00:55, 20 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

  • Actually this long list serves NO purpose here. I propose to remove it altogether and the education section should discuss education in general and province-wide, such as provincial education standards, and status. -- P 1 9 9   15:04, 20 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Pampanga

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Pampanga's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "Taruc":

  • From Hukbalahap: Taruc, L., 1967, He Who Rides the Tiger, London: Geoffrey Chapman Ltd.
  • From Luis Taruc: Taruc, L., 1967, He Who Rides the Tiger, London: Geoffrey Chapman Ltd.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 03:16, 13 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Wrong flag of Pampanga

[edit]

I knew that this flag has a Union Jack at the top left. Based on my perspective, Pampanga was first colonized by the Spanish, not the British. I discovered that there is a historical variant of the flag, but this flag has nothing to do with Pampanga today. The Philippine government didn't make an official flag of Pampanga. None of the flags of most provinces and cities in the Philippines has a Union Jack on it. BIG DADDY Dunkleosteus (talk) 23:47, 23 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
