Is it an antipattern? Is it even a pattern?
[edit]What is this article about? The fact that some software survives many releases, and is being constantly rewritten? I think, this is the sign of success. Twitter did it, Facebook did it, Google did it. Is not it better than just throwing away the product and closing the company? Or I misunderstood something? The article is a puzzle to me.
